Description - Specifications
The ACIM is a low cost, wall-mountable module which acts as an interface between a TCP/IP computer network and standard access control readers. It can be connected to one or two such readers, allowing the reader data to be transferred over the network back to an application, thereby eliminating the access control hardware required in conventional systems. All functions for access control are handled by the application software, including user verification, door lock/unlock, scheduling and more, however, the ACIM can also operate independently when the network is unavailable or not responding.

Relays are included on the module which can be controlled from the application, and are intended for door lock/unlock. Sense inputs are also included and can be used for request to exit functions via push switches or PIR devices. One RS232 port allows communication with other devices such as cameras.

Since each ACIM102 gets its own IP address, the TCP/IP connection can support a virtually unlimited number of units. Installation is easy using standard modular plugs and the TCP/IP connection allows for direct connection to a LAN. Power is provided locally.
